Before and After School Activities
Welcome to Breakfast Club,
We are pleased to provide an out of school childcare link for parents of children attending Westfield Primary School. We aim to deliver a high class professional service to ensure each child is kept safe, secure and happy while attending the club. We will provide an enabling environment to support every child’s learning and development through play and planned activities. Our resources will be rotated every day. Staff will respect children’s choices with child led play being foremost to adult led activities.
For children up to the age of 5 years the club has a legal responsibility to complement the learning and development requirements of the EYFS in line with schools planning, and must meet the welfare regulations of the statutory framework of the EYFS.
The daily routine of the breakfast session will be: parents to enter the premises with their child to sign them in, breakfast – a range of healthy breakfast options together with a drink. Several play resources will be available for children to play before being accompanied by a staff member to their classroom at 8:50am.
As registration forms are received a place is allocated for your child for the sessions you have requested. If you are not using all the sessions you have requested please advise the staff each Friday for the following week otherwise charges may be made. Also can parents who require sessions to cover shift work etc. please advise on Fridays for the following week.
Each session of breakfast club is £2.50, if you have more than one child attending the club they will be charged at the discounted rate of £1.25. If five or more sessions are booked and paid for in advance sessions are discounted further to £2.00 and additional siblings to £1.00. In addition to the session fee children must purchase breakfast. There are a range of cereal, toast and juice on offer.
Session fees are to be paid in advance via ParentPay, weekly on the first day of each week. The cost of breakfast is to be paid cash to the kitchen.
All staff looking after the children are employed by and work in Westfield Primary School; therefore have the appropriate qualifications, training, skills, knowledge and above all a current DBS certificate. School and the setting will support staff in improving their qualification levels.
As a parent you are the expert on your child. The Breakfast Club, as professional childcare practitioners, hope we can work together to have a positive impact on your child’s development and learning.
