Larch Class 23/3/2020

Date: 22nd Mar 2020 @ 5:14pm

Hello Larch Class!

I hope your weekend has been lovely and restful for you. It has been a very peculiar one for me, knowing what will be happening from tomorrow.

Your writing task is as follows.

I want you to write a letter to your future self-for the start of the next academic year. Ask them questions that you would like to know the answer to now! Put in your thoughts and feelings about this whole situation at the moment.

'Dear Future Mr Parker,

I have one hugely important question to ask you. Are things back to normal yet? Are you back in school teaching? I know that right now I feel very weird about it all.'

This is an example of how to start it off.

Your first paragraph could be full of how things are right now at home.

Your second could be about your thoughts and feelings about now.

A third paragraph could be asking your future self questions.

Your success criteria is as follows:

-Include questions to your future self using question marks.

-Put in your own thoughts and feelings about how you are feeling right now and what you are up to.

-Make sure you put your writing into paragraphs-each new paragraph should be about something different.

You can write this in your books and take a photo and email it to the email address below. Alternatively, after writing it in your book, feel free to type it up and email it. You also don't have to do either, it is up to you if you want me to see your work.

Now for your maths:

Blue book- p.68

Green book- p.65

Purple book- p.53

Start on A, and if you are finding things easier after the first 4 questions, move onto B and then C.

If you have any questions parents, you can email me at mrparker@westfieldprimaryschool.com.

There is the blog on the purple mash website, which will be very useful to your children as that is a quicker way to get in touch with me, but I shall be checking my emails regularly.

Hope you are all ok and well,

Mr P
