Do some reading and post a comment on here about what you are reading. You might be able to recommend something to a friend. Remember when you've finished reading any books, you can do a review on here or on paper.
Rewrite and punctuate this paragraph. Notice that some of it is speech! I will post the corrected version tomorrow.
michael ran home and excitedly told his mother what he had seen on the shores of the river
mum ive just met a whale and he told me all these messages he panted rapidly
don't be so silly dear there are no whales in rivers they live in oceans
i promise mum i saw it with my own eyes
michaels mum looked at him suspiciously with a confused and slightly concerned look on her face
where did you see this whale she asked him
in the thames mum it was there in the shallows and it spoke to me and told me all about its family and its grandad who was a great explorer
