Writing

Today we are up to chapter 6. Read with an adult and consider these questions:

• On page 25 it says 'Sometimes the foxes would gain a little ground' what does that mean?
• On page 26 how do you think the foxes and the farmers are feeling? Explain your answer with evidence from the text.
• At the end of the chapter, why are the local people laughing at the farmers?

Today I would like you to imagine that you are one of the local people. Can you explain what has happened today? What did you hear? Whats did you see? What do you think about what is going on at the hill? Who will come out victorious?
