Maple Class Home learning 6.5.20

Date: 5th May 2020 @ 10:27pm

Hello again Maple Class. I hope that most of you have received your Times Tables Rockstars log in details now through your personal blogs.

For today's writing task, I would like you to think about instructions again. I would like you to tell me how to get from your house to school. Some of you may have already drawn your route as part of the activities from the learning grid.

Think about:
Do you have to cross any roads?
Do you turn left or right up roads?
Do you use any crossings?
If you come in a car, which turns do you take and where?
Are there any traffic lights to come through?

Remember to use:
  • Imperative (bossy verbs)
  • Adverbs and prepositions (e.g. After that, next, first, then, across the road, around the corner, next to .....)

Today's reading challenge:
Read this article from National Geographic Kids. This one is about plastic pollution.

Name 3 things that are made from single use plastics.
Name 2 ways that plastics end up in our oceans.

Post you answers on the blog! Happy reading! 😃
