Willow Class Home Learning and Grid - Monday 01/06/2020

Date: 1st Jun 2020 @ 9:05am

Good morning,

I hope that you have enjoyed the sunny weather over half term.  It was my birthday at the weekend and I had a lovely day.  We went on a walk to a new place, had ice cream and lunch in the garden.

For your writing task this week, we are going to focus on a poem called 'Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush'.  I have added the poem to this blog, along with your Weekly Learning Grid and other resources.

For your daily writing task today, read the rhyme poem,  ‘Here We Go Round the Mulberry Bush’.  Then,

1. think about which words you can find with the graphemes/phonemes you have been learning (use the Phonics Phase resources attached to the Learning Grid).  Highlight in different colours words with each phoneme e.g. ow/ay/ee/

2. answer the questions below: - List all the actions mentioned in the rhyme. - Try to find out what a mulberry bush is. - Who do you think is saying the rhyme? Why? - Which season is the poem set? How do you know?

As usual, please email me any questions or photographs to - mrsmcilroy@westfieldprimaryschool.com

Enjoy your week!
