Maple Class weekly home learning grid and work for 1.6.20

Date: 31st May 2020 @ 11:29pm

Good morning Maple Class!

I hope that you and all of your families are well and that you all had a nice break from schoolwork over half term, as well as enjoying the lovely sunshine.

Today is the first day of the last half term of this school year, and a very strange school year it has been for you all. This week, all the teachers will be back in school preparing for children from some year groups coming back to school next week. Although I will have responsibility for part of another year group, I want you to all know that you are still my class and I will still be thinking about you all. If there is anything that you need or want help with, just ask and I will do my best to help.

Monday's writing task

This week's topic is all about occupations and based upon the poster attached to this post.

The NHS has seen a huge rise in the number of people wanting to work for them. Answer these questions, based on this theme, in your books:

1) Why do you think so many people want to work in healthcare at the moment?

2) List all of the key-worker jobs that you can think of (people who have continued to work through lockdown to support people during lockdown)

3) Which job/jobs do you think you may like to do when you are older and why?

If you can, then watch this video and list 3 facts that you have learned about the NHS:
