Fundraising for Chester Zoo

As many of you will be aware, Chester Zoo has been unable to open its gates to the public in the coming weeks. They have been told by the government that this could be indefinite which puts the animals which they keep and their conservation projects in danger. 

As a school, Chester Zoo is a local charity close to many of our hearts and we have visited as a school on more than one occasion. We thought it would be nice to do some fundraising for the charity as a school community. 

On Friday 19th June, we are hosting (both virtually and in school) an animal-themed day where children and adults at home and in school can dress up with an animal theme and donate to our Just Giving Page (link below) for the 'Save Our Zoo' fund. Photos can be taken and sent via email to school and/or tweeted for us to retweet with the hashtags #westfieldprimar #chesterzoo #saveourzoo

In addition to the animal-themed day, the PTA will also be hosting a virtual quiz for a donation of £3 per family with the following rounds:

1) Children's general knowledge

2) Adults' general knowledge

3) Animals

4) Films and TV
